Bios

Cindy Burden, born and raised in Greenville, TX, discovered a God given gift to sculpt in her mid-thirties. Having no formal training, but much grace, she has developed a unique style that speaks to the heart. Cindy and her photographer husband, David, have been married for 33 years and live in Scurry, Texas where they manage BurdenStudio. Cindy was called to be a sculptor, and her art is her way of thanking and glorifying God who has created everyone for a wonderful and high purpose.

“Something happens in your heart when you look at a piece of art that touches you - no matter how many times you have seen it. It's almost a physical sensation. My art is like breathing to me. I must do it.”

David Burden was born and raised in Dallas, TX and has been a professional photographer for over 15 years.  He and Cindy have been married for over 33 years and recently moved to Scurry, TX to run the new studio and gallery.  David's classic photographic style is applied to portraits, weddings, senior pictures, and much more.  He has an eye for fine art photography and enjoys capturing God's creation wherever he goes.  His original prints can be seen and purchased in the BurdenStudio gallery in Scurry, TX. 

Our youngest daughter, Trisha, is our business manager.  She graduated Texas A&M in 2004 with a degree in Journalism, and has gained over 7 years of professional experience with her positions at a software company in Houston, TX.  Her background includes recruiting and HR, sales, marketing, and corporate communications.  Trust Trisha to always have a joke up her sleeve!
